My name is Ding Liu. I am a multidisciplinary designer whose work is shaped by two profound and complementary experiences: formal master's degrees in Architecture and Integrated Product Design from the University of Pennsylvania, and an informal, five-year education exploring the cultures, materials, and landscapes of more than 100 countries.

This journey, from the streets of Iraq to the heart of the Congo, offered lessons that no classroom could—in resilience, adaptability, and the universal language of human connection. It reshaped my understanding of how design can enhance lives and solidified my creative philosophy: that design is a form of storytelling.

I believe in crafting objects and spaces that resonate on a human level, grounded in material honesty and thoughtful functionality. I approach every project as a curator—blending technical precision with a relentless curiosity to create work that inspires, connects, and endures.

For a more personal, unfiltered look at the moments from those travels, I invite you to explore my Journey (WIP).
